The Sleeping Beauty

Libretto and choreography by Andrei Litvinov

About

Classical Arts Entertainment will present the full-length ballet Sleeping Beauty in three acts with two intermissions and show the world’s most beloved history to Piotr Tchaikovsky’s music.

Sleeping Beauty tells the story of Princess Aurora, who is cursed by the evil fairy Carabosse on her 16th birthday. The Curse of Carabosse condemns the princess to a deep sleep lasting 100 years with a single prick of one finger. However, the curse can only be lifted with a kiss from the prince's true love, which will awaken the sleeping beauty.

The State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine, known for its exceptional talent and technical precision, brings this beloved tale to life with their extraordinary performance. Led by a cast of world-class dancers, the company's artistry, grace, and flawless execution will transport you into a world of wonder and magic.

Immerse yourself in the sumptuous sets, lavish costumes, and the iconic Tchaikovsky score as the dancers gracefully glide across the stage, weaving a tapestry of beauty and emotion. The intricate footwork, soaring leaps, and delicate pas de deux will leave you in awe, while the heartfelt storytelling will tug at your heartstrings.

A bewitching and dark tale comes to life in Andrey Litvinov’s exquisite production, “a master class in classical style” (The Guardian), with “some of the most delightful steps in the 19th-century repertoire”.

Directed by the legendary choreographer Andrei Litvinov, this breathtaking performance will leave you spellbound.
